Knowledge Translation
Knowledge translation is defined as a dynamic and iterative process that includes the synthesis, dissemination, exchange and application of what has been learned to practice. We have developed a number of face to face workshops; online education modules; tool kits; templates and guides to facilitate translation of knowledge into practice.
Program Planning and Evaluation
Effective program planning enables an organization to clearly describe its path from first investment to the achievement of its final results. This process includes: identifying goals and objectives; articulating what is to be achieved; managing risks; developing policies, procedures and guidelines; and identifying measurable outcomes. Program evaluation enables an organization to determine whether the program is achieving its expected results and whether the service is being delivered in the most effective manner. We have supported a number of clients to develop programs and to evaluate them.
Strategic Planning
Strategic planning allows an organization to define where it would like to be over a set period of time (usually 3 - 5 years) and how it will get there. The focus of a strategic plan is usually on the entire organization; however the process can also be applied to a particular product, service or program. We have supported organizations to develop strategic and business plans.
Survey Research
Survey research involves using a set of standardized questions to gather information about people's thoughts or behaviours. Online surveys are an efficient way of collecting information from a large number of respondents. Structured interviews and focus group discussions can also be used. We have led over half a dozen national consultations for different clients.
Technical Writing
The process of technical writing involves gathering information from existing documentation and subject matter experts. In general, report writing involves understanding the scope of the request, identifying the target audience, conducting research to collect information related to best practices and finally formatting and organizing the written product. Written reports communicate information to assist organizations to make business decisions and to assist with the problem solving process. We have produced many succinct reports with recommendations for next steps.
